After a defensive mix-up in Zacarias's zone, Jorge Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dorival Teixeira came out of the goal and Jorge Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joaquim Zilles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nico Zilles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vitinho Vergílio to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Beneficiente getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Hélio Cabral hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Beneficiente defense, Cristiano Prado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nico Zilles. The Beneficiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nico Zilles should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Beneficiente's Bruno Mesquita got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Nico Zilles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Zilles in the 67th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Zilles in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nico Zilles saved Beneficiente from getting behind. If Joaquim Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Beneficiente getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Hélio Cabral hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Joaquim Zilles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nico Zilles was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. The goalkeeper, Nico Zilles, was totally fooled by Zacarias's Tião Vinhas, who 82 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The Zacarias fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dorival Teixeira should have stopped the shot.
