Lucas de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedrão Coelho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Henrique Maciel made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Claudinho Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caco Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 played minutes Meios EC got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Magalhães. When Otávio Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meios EC's protests and gave Otávio Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. Valdemar Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Maciel having to interfere. Pedrão Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Henrique Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Célio Hames shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Nogueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo Nogueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Célio Hames went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Célio Hames stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Meios EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Moraes to maneuver through the defense. When Caco Mazza came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Piavore EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco Mazza couldn't finish the play. Benjamin Nóbrega's late challenge caught a Piavore EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Nóbrega helped the player get up and apologised. Pedrão Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Henrique Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Célio Hames, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Piavore EC were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Meios EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eliseu Linhares took the corner. Piavore EC's Eliseu Linhares was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Osvaldo Nogueira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Valdemar Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Piavore EC got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto de Amorim. Henrique Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Massa in the 71st minute of play. If Valdemar Massa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lucas de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Piavore EC's protests and gave Lucas de Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Célio Hames was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Piavore EC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 84 played minutes Meios EC got a freekick which was hit by Raí Severo. Pedrão Coelho scored 1-1 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henrique Maciel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 97th minute, Valdemar Massa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Meios EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Piavore EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Meios EC.
