The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, GMDuarte 82's Luiz Fábio Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiaguinho Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Taquaril's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fotis Bitzios was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. 76 minutes into the match, Jairo Pontes notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of GMDuarte 82's Daniel Xavier. Daniel Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tiaguinho Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Costa in the 82nd minute of play forced Taquaril's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GMDuarte 82's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
