The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fábio Gaúcho in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Francisco Baiano saved Naru EC from getting behind. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Daniel Xavier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Naru EC! 12 minutes into the match, Naru EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Gaúcho came free, but João Francisco Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Francisco Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valérien Klopp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 13 minutes of play, GMDuarte 82's Valérien Klopp made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Francisco Baiano was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 16th minute Luiz Fábio Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Flávio Quirino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Xavier was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 21st match minute, Naru EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto da Silva to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. When GMDuarte 82's Luiz Fábio Gaúcho in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Naru EC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Quirino in the 33rd minute of play forced GMDuarte 82's goalkeeper Daniel Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to GMDuarte 82 getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alfredo Carvalho hit a great ball. When Luiz Fábio Gaúcho got free in front of the goal in the 37th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. João Francisco Baiano was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Atilano Mattin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. João Francisco Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Naru EC's João Francisco Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Gaúcho in the 41st minute of play. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Francisco Baiano having to interfere. Daniel Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso de Andrade in the 44th minute of play. João Francisco Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Gaúcho in the 45th minute of the match. 46 minutes in the game, Luiz Fábio Gaúcho fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without João Francisco Baiano having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Durvalino Sá to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes GMDuarte 82 got a freekick which was hit by Atilano Mattin. João Francisco Baiano came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by GMDuarte 82's Luiz Fábio Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Luiz Fábio Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. João Francisco Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Gaúcho in the 60th minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Durvalino Sá recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Daniel Xavier. Durvalino Sá showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. The referee showed Luiz Fábio Gaúcho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to GMDuarte 82 getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Luiz Fábio Gaúcho hit a great ball. João Francisco Baiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Atilano Mattin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Francisco Baiano having to make a save. Atilano Mattin struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. João Francisco Baiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GMDuarte 82. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Gaúcho in the 89th minute of play forced Naru EC's goalkeeper João Francisco Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th match minute, GMDuarte 82 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio de Amaral to maneuver through the defense.
