Charles da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Esteves in the 16th minute of play. Humberto Gomes hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Luís Fabiano Pernambucano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Canicora EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After a rather tough play, Canicora EC's Humberto Gomes got a free kick in the 27th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charles da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Toninho Silva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Charles da Cunha having to make a save.
