Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Praia booed when Capetuva EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui da Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 played minutes, Praia's Délio Alvarenga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Téo Maranhense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Praia reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fiori da Costa got free with Sílvio Luís Rosado in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silas Saraiva during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Praia's Silas Saraiva got a free kick in the 13th minute. Chicão Trancoso hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Téo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elder de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Téo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Brito in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Souto in the 25th minute of play forced Capetuva EC's goalkeeper Téo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Praia's Sílvio Luís Rosado got control of the ball when Fiori da Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Téo Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Souto in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Cipriano Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Praia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Narciso Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Silas Saraiva was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Praia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rodolfo Secco was slow to take the kick. During this time Capetuva EC's players had a chance to rest. Benê Fontes tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Sílvio Luís Rosado. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-0 in the 57th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorge Campidelis in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Luís Rosado saved Praia from getting behind. Jorge Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Sílvio Luís Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Praia got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Fontes. In the 72nd minute, Fiori da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Praia's zone, Fiori da Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sílvio Luís Rosado came out of the goal and Fiori da Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Campidelis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Sílvio Luís Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Praia's Sílvio Luís Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fiori da Costa in the 82nd minute of play. Anderson Fontes hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Fiori da Costa struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Sílvio Luís Rosado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capetuva EC. Praia's Cipriano Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
