Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zé Pedro Ceresso started the match with the kick off. Edgar Penha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Ceresso in the 4th minute of play. Lucas Pitta struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Washington Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Estopa. In the 12th match minute, Estopa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Arantes to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Dumontina's Marcel Lopez tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Edgar Penha didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Dumontina's Zé Pedro Ceresso shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. If Pedro Luiz Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Zé Pedro Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dumontina's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Ceresso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edgar Penha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Edgar Penha managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Dumontina's Pedro Luiz Veiga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Pedro Luiz Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Penha having to interfere. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Estopa! When the match had been going on for 27 minutes, Dumontina's Marcel Lopez got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edgar Penha. Lucas Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Washington Torres having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Luiz Paulo Alvarenga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Washington Torres. Dumontina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Paulo Alvarenga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Pitta in the 42nd minute of play forced Dumontina's goalkeeper Washington Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 43 minutes, Mathias Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dumontina and the Estopa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Mathias Mendonça hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremias Xavier didn't quite understand what happened when in the 45 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Washington Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeremias Xavier's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Paulo Alvarenga to strike the kick off in the second half. When Luiz Paulo Alvarenga got free in front of the goal in the 58th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Washington Torres was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Luiz Paulo Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Washington Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucas Pitta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Washington Torres made a huge save. Edgar Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Pedro Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Washington Torres was a little too slow when Luiz Paulo Alvarenga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 3-2. 95 minutes into the match, Estopa's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Ceresso came free, but Edgar Penha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Estopa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
