Vladimir Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Quaresma in the 3rd minute of play. When Chico Quaresma came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Mafrense EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chico Quaresma couldn't finish the play. Chico Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Vladimir Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natã Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natã Fontes struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Vladimir Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mafrense EC. Luiz Guilherme Ceresso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Nogueira in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dagoberto Sá got free with Luiz Guilherme Ceresso in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mafrense EC's Luiz Guilherme Ceresso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Mafrense EC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dênis Valadares in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Guilherme Ceresso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fernandinho Freire kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the game, Muller SC's Dagoberto Sá nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Guilherme Ceresso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 39 played minutes Mafrense EC got a freekick which was hit by Pedrão Meirelles. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dagoberto Sá got free with Luiz Guilherme Ceresso in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonardo Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Ceresso having to interfere. Dagoberto Sá's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Luiz Guilherme Ceresso skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dênis Valadares was the one to do the kick off. Muller SC's Dagoberto Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Guilherme Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dênis Valadares in the 59th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Chico Quaresma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dagoberto Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 71st minute of the match Virgílio Alvarenga sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Guilherme Ceresso skillfully saved the ball. Fernandinho Freire hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Chico Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Natã Fontes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 89th minute, Chico Quaresma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vladimir Alves came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Mafrense EC's Natã Fontes. But to his dismay, Natã Fontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.
