After a rather tough play, Galheiro's Jairo Reis got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When Luciano Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Cerezo couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the game, Corinthians's Durval Miranda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chiquinho de Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Durval Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Galheiro's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Cerezo came free, but Chiquinho de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Galheiro getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Nicolas Pernambucano hit a great ball. Chiquinho de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Durval Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Corinthians's Jefferson Bastos got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jefferson Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Corinthians's Adelino Andrade slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Chiquinho de Carvalho. That made the score 0-5 after 60 minutes of play. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chiquinho de Carvalho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After taking down the ball on Galheiro's corner Fernandinho Urbano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ismael de Barros quite easily take care of the ball. Murilo Nunes hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the match, Luciano Cerezo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chiquinho de Carvalho. Galheiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Cerezo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7.
