In the 5th match minute, Iraguacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Tepedino in the 12th minute of the match. Raí Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Maciel's late challenge caught a Marazinho FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. Elias Maciel hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Samuel Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Nogueira in the 20th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fellipe de Sena in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd match minute, Iraguacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arí Dante to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmílson Nogueira in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samuel Baiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Nogueira in the 30th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marazinho FC's Cícero Sá got a free kick in the 39th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Iraguacu's Elias Maciel tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Fellipe de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Edmílson Nogueira came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Marazinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmílson Nogueira couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raí Tepedino to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Edmílson Nogueira sped through Iraguacu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Samuel Baiano. After 57 played minutes Marazinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Sá. Samuel Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute, Pedro Paulo Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fellipe de Sena in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rd match minute, Iraguacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Arí Antunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauro Pires. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arí Antunes ran back to his position shaking his head. 79 minutes into the game, Noel Novaes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iraguacu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marazinho FC the free kick. The supporters of Marazinho FC booed when Iraguacu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Novaes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Baiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmílson Nogueira went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Fellipe de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute of the match, Fellipe de Sena tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Samuel Baiano saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mauro Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Tepedino in the 94th minute of the match. Raí Tepedino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro Pires read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
