Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Elano Penha made the kick off and thus started the match. Henrique de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Enrique Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Alagoano having to interfere. Osmar Alagoano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elano Penha's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Enrique Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Osmar Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Richard Cabral fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blumenauense's protests and gave Richard Cabral a yellow card for diving instead. Richard Cabral hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Henrique de Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sidney Brodel having to make a save. Enrique Freire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Caboco's zone, Edson Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Brodel came out of the goal and Edson Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Edson Mangueira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sidney Brodel, 1-0. Edson Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th minute Henrique de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Henrique de Medeiros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sidney Brodel. That made the score 2-0 in the 44 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Henrique de Medeiros made a kick off. Edson Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Brodel having to interfere. Durvalino de Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Durvalino de Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Durvalino de Andrade hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Sidney Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Henrique de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Blumenauense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Sidney Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrique de Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Caboco's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Fernando Pirani in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute Edson Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henrique de Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 played minutes Blumenauense got a freekick which was hit by Dalmo Quadros. 94 minutes into the match, Blumenauense's Edson Mangueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidney Brodel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edson Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Brodel having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Blumenauense had played much better football throughout.
