Sarutaia SC's Ulryk Czubski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Santana in the 30th minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Sarutaia SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Paranaense came free, but Ulryk Czubski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Herculanea's zone, Adrianinho Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuca Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Sarutaia SC booed when Herculanea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Herculanea's goalkeeper Samuca Porto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Adrianinho Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Sarutaia SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Herculanea.
