Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Caridade's Bruno Zonta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Caridade's zone, Faustão da Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tostão Gaúcho came out of the goal and Faustão da Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Vágner Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urubioly's supporters rose to their feet, but Vágner Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Gaúcho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Caridade getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Armindo Zilles hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Rodriguinho Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute of the match Nuno Araújo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tostão Gaúcho showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Caridade booed when Urubioly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Quaresma didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th match minute, Urubioly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Téo Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. When Bruno Zonta came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Caridade fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Zonta couldn't finish the play. Glauco Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Fernandez having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Glauco Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bruno Zonta scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jefferson Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Urubioly's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Neves came free, but Jefferson Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Paraense charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rodriguinho Paraense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 minutes, Téo Pernambucano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Urubioly and the Caridade players grew even worse after the yellow card. Téo Pernambucano hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Jefferson Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Zonta in the 41st minute of the match. Jefferson Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Glauco Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. If Glauco Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jefferson Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Vágner Sampaio made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Faustão da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jefferson Fernandez was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Jefferson Cruz. In the 59th minute, Bruno Zonta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Vágner Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, one of Caridade:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Caridade. Glauco Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodriguinho Paraense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 minutes of play, Caridade's Glauco Neves made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jefferson Fernandez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vladimir Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Fernandez having to interfere. If Vágner Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Vágner Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 98 minutes of play, Urubioly's Vágner Sampaio made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tostão Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Urubioly succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Caridade had controlled the match.
