Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Horácio Vieira kicked off to start the match. Conrado Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Arnaldo Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Macambara's defense didn't have a chance, in the 8th minute, when Horácio Vieira scored to the left of an out of position Valdir de Senna, making the score, 1-0. Horácio Vieira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Valdir de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Vieira in the 15th minute of play. João Paulo Soeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Macambara's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Horácio Vieira 19 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. 23 minutes into the match, Macambara's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Vieira came free, but Valdir de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Paulo Soeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Valdir de Senna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. João Paulo Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir de Senna having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Garcia SS's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Gaspar came free, but Arnaldo Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Macambara's Conrado Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Franklin Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macambara's supporters rose to their feet, but Franklin Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Rossi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horácio Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir de Senna having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Conrado Montenegro to make the kick off. Benjamim Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horácio Vieira took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir de Senna. Valdir de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. The supporters of Macambara booed when Garcia SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Eduardo Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Garcia SS getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Acácio Cabral hit a great ball. João Paulo Soeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdir de Senna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the game, Macambara's Conrado Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnaldo Rossi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The audience was convinced that João Paulo Soeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdir de Senna was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. When João Paulo Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Garcia SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Soeiro couldn't finish the play. Franklin Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Rossi having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Macambara:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Garcia SS:s goal. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Garcia SS. Juninho Martins stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Valdir de Senna. 4-1. After having played for 95 minutes, João Paulo Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garcia SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Macambara's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
