The referee showed Erasmo Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Queimadinha got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Rossi. Garcia SS's Juninho Martins shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 13th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Anderson Neiva but with some difficulty. A collision led to Queimadinha getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Giovani Peixoto hit a great ball. If João Paulo Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Giovani Peixoto fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Queimadinha's protests and gave Giovani Peixoto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Queimadinha's Giovani Peixoto got a free kick in the 23rd minute. João Paulo Soeiros short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Anderson Neiva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Garcia SS's Arnaldo Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gil Saldanha in the 28th minute of play. Gil Saldanha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnaldo Rossi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Queimadinha's goal looked a bit too open when Horácio Vieira came free, but Anderson Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Horácio Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anderson Neiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Garcia SS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Queimadinha's performance. The match ended with a win for Queimadinha.
