Wágner Souza was a little too slow when Albertino Vale got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Benê Costa succeeded in the game's 6th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. Benê Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 11th match minute, Traquateua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Vale to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Traquateua getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Aloísio Guimarães hit a great ball. 19 minutes into the match, Batente EC's goalkeeper Wágner Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albertino Vale. In the 20th minute, Olavo Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Batente EC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Benê Costa hit a great ball. Wágner Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Cordeiro in the 24th minute of the match. Wágner Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albertino Vale in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Batente EC's Ricardo Severo got a free kick in the 27th minute. Carlos Augusto Lara struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Gonçalo Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Batente EC. Carlos Augusto Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Traquateua's zone, Carlos Augusto Lara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Proença came out of the goal and Carlos Augusto Lara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 minutes of play Batente EC's Benê Costa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 39th minute, Benê Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ricardo Severo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Régis de Amaral from long distance, 42 minutes into the match, got Wágner Souza's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Samuel Cordeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Samuel Cordeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wágner Souza having to make a save. 60 minutes into the match, Batente EC's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Cordeiro came free, but Wágner Souza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 minutes of play, Traquateua's Albertino Vale made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wágner Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Samuel Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Albertino Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wágner Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Augusto Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Augusto Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Batente EC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Carlos Augusto Lara hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes, Traquateua's Régis de Amaral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wágner Souza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Traquateua reached it. Wágner Souza came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Traquateua's Albertino Vale. But to his dismay, Albertino Vale quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Ricardo Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Proença having to interfere. After having played for 93 minutes, Albertino Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Traquateua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertino Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner Souza having to interfere. Traquateua's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
