Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Marcos Queiroz started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ariau SS's Eriberto Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felipe Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felipe Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Ituyutaba got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ribeiro. When Chiquinho Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ituyutaba's protests and gave Chiquinho Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. Reynaldo Neto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Yuri Paes. Ituyutaba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ariau SS's Eriberto Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yuri Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eriberto Viana in the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Ituyutaba's goal looked a bit too open when Téo Prestes came free, but Yuri Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Ariau SS's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Queiroz came free, but Afonsinho Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eriberto Viana blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yuri Paes having to make a save. In the 33rd minute, Cido Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Téo Prestes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ariau SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Prestes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yuri Paes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The supporters of Ariau SS booed when Ituyutaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardinho Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcos Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Ituyutaba's goalkeeper Yuri Paes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Téo Prestes. Téo Prestess short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Yuri Paes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Téo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Marcos Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ituyutaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcos Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonsinho Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marcos Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Afonsinho Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egídio dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Téo Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Paes having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
