Adhemar Sena made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Raúl Ramos sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Raúl Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raizama's supporters rose to their feet, but Raúl Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adhemar Sena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raphael Freire during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Manteninha booed when Raizama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Manteninha's Valério de Queirós tried to score from far away in the 20th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dadá Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raizama's Dadá Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmir Arósio in the 24th minute of play. Cássio Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Adhemar Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Raizama's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses Gonçalves came free, but Dadá Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adhemar Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Cearense in the 37th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Manteninha's goalkeeper Adhemar Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raúl Ramos. Cássio Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Adhemar Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cássio Cearense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Manteninha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Goiano to maneuver through the defense. Raizama's Cauã Amorim couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Manteninha. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Raizama's goalkeeper Dadá Couto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Manteninha's Walmir Arósio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dadá Couto. Dadá Couto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. In the 70th minute Cássio Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raúl Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Sena having to interfere. If Raúl Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adhemar Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cássio Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulysses Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Raizama defense, Walmir Arósio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dadá Couto. The Raizama fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dadá Couto should have stopped the shot. Ulysses Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dadá Couto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cássio Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adhemar Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raúl Ramos in the 94th minute of play. The Raizama supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Manteninha's performance. The match ended with a win for Manteninha.
