After a rather tough play, Lucuri's Amauri Ferraz got a free kick in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Sílvio Luís Luz could shoot a difficult shot in the 14th minute, which Ulysses Peixoto however easily saved by the left post. Variante AD's Falcão Lima suffered a sore thigh after 17 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After a rather tough play, Lucuri's Kauan Costa got a free kick in the 17th minute. Sílvio Luís Luz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Ulysses Peixoto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lauro Catarinense hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Breno Ortiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fiori Moura in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Variante AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubinho Negri to maneuver through the defense. Lucuri's Nicolas Galvão couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 26th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Variante AD. In the 28th minute, Lucuri's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Sílvio Luís Luz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lauro Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Peixoto having to interfere. With a little luck, Lucuri's Ulysses Peixoto got control of the ball when Lauro Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Sílvio Luís Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Variante AD's zone, Fiori Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Breno Ortiz came out of the goal and Fiori Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sílvio Luís Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Ulysses Peixoto made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Sílvio Luís Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Variante AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Sílvio Luís Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amauri Ferraz's late challenge caught a Variante AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amauri Ferraz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lucuri getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Amauri Ferraz hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Geovânio Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovânio Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lucuri booed when Variante AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Breno Ortiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Breno Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Guilherme Dias in the 65th minute of the match. When Luís Guilherme Dias came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Lucuri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Guilherme Dias couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Variante AD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fiori Moura fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fiori Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Breno Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Luís Guilherme Dias came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Lucuri fans jumped to their feet. In the 89th minute, Luís Guilherme Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lucuri eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
