The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arthur Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Anselmo Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jangraguera SS. Décio Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute of the match Tostão Gerber sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Digo Moreira skillfully saved the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Cachaça EC's Franklin Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Digo Moreira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Vivaldo Amorim succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 13th playminute. Digo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Arthur Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Franklin Silva came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Cachaça EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franklin Silva couldn't finish the play. After 26th play minutes Otávio Prestes shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Digo Moreira and just under the crossbar into goal. Digo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Silva in the 30th minute of play. In the 36thth minute of the game Otávio Prestes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jangraguera SS's Digo Moreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Otávio Prestes might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Digo Moreira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Otávio Prestes ran back to his position shaking his head. 43 minutes into the match, Jangraguera SS's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Silva came free, but Digo Moreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Franklin Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Jangraguera SS's zone, Franklin Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Digo Moreira came out of the goal and Franklin Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arthur Azevedo to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Ronaldinho Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jangraguera SS and the Cachaça EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cachaça EC booed when Jangraguera SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otávio Prestes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, Digo Moreira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 64th minute, Simão Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tostão Gerber took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Digo Moreira. Jangraguera SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Otávio Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 68 played minutes Cachaça EC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fonseca. Arthur Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Franklin Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Digo Moreira was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, Cachaça EC's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Azevedo came free, but Anselmo Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Otávio Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Franklin Silva struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. In the 87th minute, one of Jangraguera SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jangraguera SS. In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Cachaça EC. Tostão Gerber stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Digo Moreira. 1-3. Franklin Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cachaça EC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
