In the 8thth minute of the game Luís Eduardo Duarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Banco SS's Dé Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dé Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Eduardo Duarte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Túlio Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonas Matos in the 11th minute of the match. Manoel Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Cardozo having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Uberaba SC's Luís Eduardo Duarte dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Jonas Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Banco SS's Dé Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Duarte in the 25th minute of play. Carlos Fernando Valle hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Patrick Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Dé Carvalho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Banco SS's Dé Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Duarte in the 39th minute of play. When Jonas Matos fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Banco SS's protests and gave Jonas Matos a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd match minute, Banco SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Matos to maneuver through the defense. If Luís Eduardo Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Quintal got free with Dé Carvalho in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manoel Mendes was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Uberaba SC's Patrick Quintal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dé Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Luís Eduardo Duarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Carvalho having to interfere. After 60 minutes of play Banco SS's Jonas Matos was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Uberaba SC booed when Banco SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luís Eduardo Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Duarte in the 68th minute of play forced Banco SS's goalkeeper Dé Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes Banco SS got a freekick which was hit by Manoel Mendes. After 82 played minutes, Uberaba SC's José Pedro Sampaio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dé Carvalho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Uberaba SC reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Banco SS's zone, Belmiro Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dé Carvalho came out of the goal and Belmiro Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Luís Fonseca during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Uberaba SC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. André Luís Fonseca hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Patrick Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dé Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Banco SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Quintal in the 96th minute of play forced Banco SS's goalkeeper Dé Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Uberaba SC had won after a very even match.
