Tales Mangueira hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Tales Mangueira fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Valdo Dante. If Bruno Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santa Cruz Futebol Clube's Valdo Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Mangueira in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Santa Cruz Futebol Clube's Zeca Fernandez got a free kick in the 21st minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tales Mangueira was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Wilian da Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santa Cruz Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caloji AD the free kick. After a rather tough play, Santa Cruz Futebol Clube's Wilian da Silveira got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 56 played minutes Caloji AD got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Reis. After 62 played minutes Santa Cruz Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Anísio Rosado. Tales Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo Dante having to interfere. After 71 played minutes, Caloji AD's Chicão Trancoso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Valdo Dante came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caloji AD reached it. Edu Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Edu Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Pinho in the 85th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Chicão Trancoso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caloji AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Cruz Futebol Clube the free kick. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Caloji AD! 98 minutes into the match, Santa Cruz Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Tales Mangueira came free, but Valdo Dante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Santa Cruz Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Caloji AD.
