Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when João Ferraz made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Lencois SC's goal looked a bit too open when David Barros came free, but Márcio Mota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Itapaje's goalkeeper Toninho Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Renatinho Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, João Ferraz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Márcio Mota was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 23 minutes into the game, Itapaje's João Ferraz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Márcio Mota made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Dadá Costa's late challenge caught a Lencois SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dadá Costa helped the player get up and apologised. David Barros struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Márcio Mota didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapaje. After having played for 32 minutes, João Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itapaje's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Ferraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toninho Silva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomás Alves showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 36 minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, João Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itapaje's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Ferraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, João Ferraz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itapaje fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Alves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Itapaje's Dadá Costa got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 57 minutes into the match, João Ferraz dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Márcio Mota, 1-5. Aníbal Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Tomás Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. David Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Mota having to interfere. João Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Alves in the 83rd minute of play forced Itapaje's goalkeeper Toninho Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Ferraz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Márcio Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Márcio Mota stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Ferraz's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. When Juan Andrade fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapaje's protests and gave Juan Andrade a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lencois SC booed when Itapaje was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Itapaje could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lencois SC throughout the match.
