Juvenal Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Saraiva in the 4th minute of the match. Juvenal Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Saraiva in the 5th minute of play. If Wanderson Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnaldo do Nascimento in the 17th minute of play forced Carnaibas's goalkeeper Cristiano Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Carnaibas's goalkeeper Cristiano Cardoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tarcisio Queiroz. 30 minutes in the game, Agnaldo do Nascimento dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Tarcisio Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manfredo Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal Maranhense having to interfere. If Wanderson Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Agnaldo do Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. Wanderson Saraiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juvenal Maranhense having to make a save. After 55 played minutes Carnaibas got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Viana. Tarcisio Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Cardoso having to interfere. When Agnaldo do Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arcadia AD's protests and gave Agnaldo do Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. Agnaldo do Nascimento hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Cristiano Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Queiroz in the 64th minute of play. Cristiano Cardoso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tarcisio Queiroz went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute Tarcisio Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69thth minute of the game Manfredo Diniz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arcadia AD's Juvenal Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Carnaibas getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Vicente Linares hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Carnaibas's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Queiroz came free, but Cristiano Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Carnaibas's zone, Tarcisio Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristiano Cardoso came out of the goal and Tarcisio Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juvenal Maranhense was a little too slow when Manfredo Diniz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 97th minute. The score was now 2-2. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
