Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Basu EC's Hortêncio Catarinense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 7 minutes, Hortêncio Catarinense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basu EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hortêncio Catarinense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Gil Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kiko Xavier took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juvenal Maranhense. Arcadia AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tarcisio Queiroz in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabrício Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Basu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Agnaldo do Nascimento came free, but Fabrício Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Hortêncio Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juvenal Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Gil Prata fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Basu EC's protests and gave Gil Prata a yellow card for diving instead. Gil Prata hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Luís Guilherme Arruda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Juvenal Maranhense. Arcadia AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Juvenal Maranhense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hortêncio Catarinense went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Hortêncio Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Juvenal Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Basu EC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Gil Prata hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Agnaldo do Nascimento to make the kick off. Fabrício Barros made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Tarcisio Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Tarcisio Queiroz took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Fabrício Barros to make any attempt to save it. The throw-in from Bernardo Guedes in the 61st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Basu EC's Gil Prata. Juvenal Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Gil Prata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Basu EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agnaldo do Nascimento during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 75 played minutes Arcadia AD got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo do Nascimento. Tarcisio Queiroz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Fabrício Barros made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Gil Prata's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Juvenal Maranhense was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Hortêncio Catarinense scored 5-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juvenal Maranhense, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
