Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After a rather tough play, Ipanema's Pedro Luís Lima got a free kick in the 9th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Cuipeua's Adolfo Lara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulysses Perez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute Tibúrcio Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osmar Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Renato Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osmar Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Braga in the 19th minute of play. After 23 minutes, Jean Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cuipeua and the Ipanema players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jean Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Cuipeua's goal looked a bit too open when Tibúrcio Tepedino came free, but Osmar Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ipanema's Ulysses Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Lara in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Luiz Fernando Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulysses Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute Adolfo Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tibúrcio Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Lara in the 39th minute of play forced Ipanema's goalkeeper Ulysses Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Tibúrcio Tepedino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulysses Perez made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Adolfo Lara sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adolfo Lara was the one to do the kick off. Paulo Renato Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar Lara having to interfere. In the 60th minute Adolfo Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes Cuipeua got a freekick which was hit by Sabino Arruda. Cuipeua's Osmar Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Cuipeua from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Ipanema's zone, Carlos Augusto Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ulysses Perez came out of the goal and Carlos Augusto Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tibúrcio Tepedino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Osmar Lara having to make a save. Paulo Renato Braga succeeded in the game's 84th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 88th minute, Adolfo Lara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulysses Perez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Adolfo Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
