One of Serra Futebol Clube:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jurupari EC:s goal. Robinho Soeiro had in the 8thth minute some difficulties stopping Fabiano Costa's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Válter Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robinho Prestes kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Jurupari EC's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Santos came free, but Agnaldo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nildo Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nildo Rodrigues made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Rubinho Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jurupari EC and the Serra Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Jurupari EC got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho Medeiros. Nildo Rodrigues who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Agnaldo Catarinense when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the game, Valdo Vianna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jurupari EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serra Futebol Clube the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nildo Rodrigues got free with Agnaldo Catarinense in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nildo Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agnaldo Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Jurupari EC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Nildo Rodrigues 75 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. A collision led to Jurupari EC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Valdo Vianna hit a great ball. Nildo Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nildo Rodrigues got in the 82nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Agnaldo Catarinense handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Nildo Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute.
