Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Ribeiro in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernani Cosme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 8th match minute, Quissaman SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Britto to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes, Arassuai SC's Tony do Vale shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hernani Cosme came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Arassuai SC reached it. When Enrique Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Quissaman SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Cosme couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Tony Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Arassuai SC fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Arassuai SC's Severino Souto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Enrique Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Quissaman SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrique Cosme couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Quissaman SS's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Souto came free, but Hernani Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Enrique Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Arassuai SC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Oséas Pinheiro hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Arassuai SC's goalkeeper Naldo Toscano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrique Cosme. In the 39th minute, Severino Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Júlio Pombal charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Júlio Pombal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Arassuai SC booed when Quissaman SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Naldo Toscano managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Quissaman SS's Enrique Cosme fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leopoldo Ribeiro to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Ribeiro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hernani Cosme, 1-2. Luiz Paulo Toledo charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luiz Paulo Toledo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Arassuai SC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Toledo hit a great ball. Leopoldo Ribeiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Arassuai SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Severino Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Fábio de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Ribeiro struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Hernani Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arassuai SC. In the 67th minute, Enrique Cosme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quissaman SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. If Enrique Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Naldo Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Cosme in the 77th minute of play. Severino Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Cosme having to interfere. Enrique Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quissaman SS's Hernani Cosme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Quissaman SS from getting a goal against them. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
