Reinaldo Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Custódio Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Custódio Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Meireles having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Custódio Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hernani Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Gustavo Ramalho in the 57th minute of the match. Wellington Cosme struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Hernani Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lamina. Quissaman SS's Hernani Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Cosme in the 61st minute of play. Lamina's Luiz Gustavo Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Gustavo Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Cosme having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Wellington Cosme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Quissaman SS:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lamina:s goal. The referee gave Lamina a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Dráusio Tande, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Quissaman SS's Hernani Cosme. 4-0. Through an outstanding action, after 74 minutes, Reinaldo Meireles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Gustavo Ramalho in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernani Cosme saved Quissaman SS from getting behind. Luiz Gustavo Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellington Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernani Cosme having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Quissaman SS got a freekick which was hit by Percy Matos. After recieving a nice pass, Lamina's Dráusio Tande tried to score from far away in the 92nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Quissaman SS's Júlio Pombal got a free kick in the 94th minute.
