Touros FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ernani Araújo was the one to do the kick off. Jano da Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ian Barros. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jano da Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. 86 minutes into the match, Goiabeiras's Ernani Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ian Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Dênis Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juninho Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Goiabeiras walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
