Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Metal FC's Gildo Paraense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Custódio Damião who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Zé Carlos Prado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Metal FC's Zé Carlos Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilvan Soares in the 7th minute of play. Metal FC's Zé Carlos Prado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Metal FC from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute, Antônio Rodrigues ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Carlos Prado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cido Linhares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gildo Paraense's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Metal FC's Vitório de Souza made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cido Linhares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gilvan Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Prado having to interfere. Cido Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gildo Paraense in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Britto in the 29th minute of play forced Salva EC's goalkeeper Cido Linhares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Metal FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gilberto Teixeira hit a great ball. Cido Linhares came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Metal FC's Giuseppe Britto. But to his dismay, Giuseppe Britto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Zé Carlos Prado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Soares in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilvan Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Salva EC were awarded a corner. Tarcisio Zonta went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Antônio Rodrigues almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Metal FC's Zé Carlos Prado did a great save. Cido Linhares made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Giuseppe Britto sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute Antônio Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilvan Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Zé Carlos Prado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Vitório de Souza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cido Linhares. That made the score 1-3 in the 61 minute of play. Cido Linhares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gildo Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When Gilberto Teixeira fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metal FC's protests and gave Gilberto Teixeira a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Metal FC! In the 74th minute there was a penalty for Salva EC. Tarcisio Zonta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zé Carlos Prado. 2-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilvan Soares in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Carlos Prado saved Metal FC from getting behind. Giuseppe Britto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cido Linhares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Gildo Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gildo Paraense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giuseppe Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Cido Linhares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Giuseppe Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Salva EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Metal FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
