Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Edson Vinhas made the kick off which started today's match. Raimundo Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Vinhas in the 11th minute of play forced Iracema's goalkeeper Ricardinho Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Palacete's Sérgio Valadares got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iracema's goalkeeper Ricardinho Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pedro Luís Romero scored 1-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardinho Fernandes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, Lino Tavares left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iracema fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Ricardinho Fernandes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Luís Romero in the 31st minute. Iracema's Ricardinho Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Vinhas in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Iracema's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adalberto Salgado was slow to take the kick. During this time Palacete's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Palacete getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Edson Vinhas hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Palacete's goal looked a bit too open when Lino Tavares came free, but Celsinho Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Iracema's Ricardinho Fernandes got control of the ball when Pedro Luís Romero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iracema's Ricardinho Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Vinhas in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Pedro Luís Romero notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Iracema's Ricardinho Fernandes. Ricardinho Fernandes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carlos Alberto Favoretto's late challenge caught a Palacete's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Alberto Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, one of Iracema:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Iracema. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Iracema's Ricardinho Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Vinhas in the 56th minute of play. Palacete's Celsinho Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Tavares in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Edson Vinhas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ricardinho Fernandes. Iracema's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edson Vinhas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. If Edson Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iracema's Ricardinho Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Vinhas in the 68th minute of play. Ricardinho Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Romero in the 69th minute of the match. Pedro Luís Romero took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardinho Fernandes. Ricardinho Fernandes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-2. After 76 played minutes Iracema got a freekick which was hit by Emerson Peres. In the 77th minute of the match Adalberto Salgado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricardinho Fernandes skillfully saved the ball. Edson Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardinho Fernandes having to interfere. After some careless play in the Iracema defense, Pedro Luís Romero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ricardinho Fernandes. The Iracema fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ricardinho Fernandes should have stopped the shot. Ricardinho Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Vinhas in the 90th minute of play. Palacete's Celsinho Barros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Palacete from getting a goal against them. Iracema's Enrique Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Adalberto Salgado fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palacete's protests and gave Adalberto Salgado a yellow card for diving instead. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palacete! Lino Tavares shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palacete's goalkeeper Celsinho Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Palacete players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
