The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Ian Bittencourt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zacarias Toledo. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Lacerdopolis FC's Sidney Vander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Marques in the 11th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Belmiro Mineiro during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lacerdopolis FC's Belmiro Mineiro got a free kick in the 13th minute. Enio Ramalho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sidney Vander. Lacerdopolis FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Belmiro Mineiro was shown his second yellow card after 15 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 16th match minute, Lacerdopolis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Mineiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute of the match Enio Ramalho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sidney Vander skillfully saved the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Lacerdopolis FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kauan Dantas came free, but Sidney Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Lacerdopolis FC's zone, Danilo Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidney Vander came out of the goal and Danilo Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zacarias Toledo made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Noel Zonta sent off a good shot on target. 26 minutes into the game, Tiaguinho Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Timoteo AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lacerdopolis FC the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Lacerdopolis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ian Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. If Kauan Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Lacerdopolis FC defense, Kauan Dantas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidney Vander. The Lacerdopolis FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidney Vander should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noel Zonta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Timoteo AD's Tiaguinho Silveira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidney Vander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Danilo Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Sidney Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Vander having to interfere. Sidney Vander didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 71st minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Danilo Marques's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sidney Vander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Lacerdopolis FC's goalkeeper Sidney Vander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kauan Dantas. Kauan Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Sidney Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney Vander having to interfere. Sidney Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danilo Marques in the 90th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Arlindo das Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lacerdopolis FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Timoteo AD the free kick. If Kauan Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the match, Timoteo AD's goal looked a bit too open when Noel Zonta came free, but Zacarias Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Lacerdopolis FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Timoteo AD were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
