Chiquinho Jacinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelson Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Aleandro de Brito struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Chiquinho Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goianira. Aleandro de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oséas Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Jacinto having to interfere. If Hernani Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evandro de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bruninho Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evandro de Medeiros in the 32nd minute of play. Chiquinho Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oséas Galvão in the 34th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Felippe Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itanhandu's supporters rose to their feet, but Felippe Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruninho Pinheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aleandro de Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chiquinho Jacinto having to make a save. Oséas Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chiquinho Jacinto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evandro de Medeiros in the 45th minute of play forced Goianira's goalkeeper Bruninho Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nelson Vieira's late challenge caught a Goianira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nelson Vieira helped the player get up and apologised. Nelson Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Evandro de Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Valle in the 52nd minute of play forced Goianira's goalkeeper Bruninho Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Evandro de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruninho Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Felippe Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruninho Pinheiro was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Felippe Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruninho Pinheiro came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Itanhandu's Evandro de Medeiros. But to his dismay, Evandro de Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Chiquinho Jacinto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Galvão in the 71st minute of play forced Itanhandu's goalkeeper Chiquinho Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felippe Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruninho Pinheiro having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Itanhandu's goal looked a bit too open when Oséas Galvão came free, but Chiquinho Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, one of Itanhandu:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Chiquinho Jacinto went to the wrong direction when Wellington Leal was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 84 played minutes Itanhandu got a freekick which was hit by Téo de Alcântara. Thanks to some nice moves Adalmo Prata could shoot a difficult shot in the 90th minute, which Chiquinho Jacinto however easily saved by the left post. Téo de Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Téo de Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 97th minute Oséas Galvão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chiquinho Jacinto made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Aleandro de Brito sent off a good shot on target. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
