With a little luck, Plataform's Fiori Abraão got control of the ball when Diguinho Neiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Diguinho Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bytes EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diguinho Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiori Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21stth minute of the game Benedito de Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bytes EC's José Augusto de Souza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Augusto de Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Rony Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. José Augusto de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diguinho Neiva got free with Fiori Abraão in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rony Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto de Souza having to interfere. Rony Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When Rony Sarmento was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. The supporters of Bytes EC booed when Plataform was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benedito de Andrade was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bytes EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Benedito de Andrade fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Luís Guilherme Negri fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Plataform's protests and gave Luís Guilherme Negri a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Plataform getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Luís Guilherme Negri hit a great ball. Fiori Abraão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Neiva in the 62nd minute of the match. When Edgar Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Bytes EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Dantas couldn't finish the play. Edgar Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedito de Andrade could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but José Augusto de Souza made a huge save. In the 76th minute, Diguinho Neiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fiori Abraão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélio de Brito during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 79th match minute, Bytes EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hélio de Brito to maneuver through the defense.
