After 14 played minutes, Tucuruvi SC's Eduardo Guedes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fiori Abraão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tucuruvi SC reached it. After 16 minutes, Cesinha Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Plataform and the Tucuruvi SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Plataform got a freekick which was hit by Cesinha Novaes. If Abelardo Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fiori Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Tinoco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 26 minutes, Rony Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Plataform's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rony Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abelardo Tinoco in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fiori Abraão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fiori Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Tinoco in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Tinoco in the 34th minute of play forced Plataform's goalkeeper Fiori Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game Rony Sarmento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tucuruvi SC's Mané Meireles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 42 minutes, Abelardo Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tucuruvi SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abelardo Tinoco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mané Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rony Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 49 minutes into the match, Tucuruvi SC's goalkeeper Mané Meireles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benedito de Andrade. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rony Sarmento was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Fernando Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Plataform's Rony Sarmento got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Tucuruvi SC's Eduardo Guedes tried to score from far away in the 83rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Carlos Alberto de Castro hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 90th minute, Magno Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rony Sarmento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Meireles having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
