The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Glycerio's Jacinto Lima sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fiori Abraão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jacinto Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luciano Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Fiori Abraão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Luciano Silva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fiori Abraão was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Luciano Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rony Sarmento in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovanni Costa saved Glycerio from getting behind. When Glycerio's Luciano Silva in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Plataform's goalie prevented a goal. 35 minutes into the match, Plataform's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Silva came free, but Fiori Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori Abraão having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Jacinto Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rony Sarmento made a kick off. Luciano Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori Abraão having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Plataform's Rony Sarmento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Geovanni Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to Plataform getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Belmiro Diniz hit a great ball. Plataform's Fiori Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Plataform from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jacinto Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glycerio's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Lima was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiori Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fiori Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Silva in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Plataform's zone, Jacinto Lima stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiori Abraão came out of the goal and Jacinto Lima tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 80th minute Rony Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Plataform's Fiori Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Plataform from getting a goal against them. When Luciano Silva came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Glycerio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luciano Silva couldn't finish the play. When Glycerio's Luciano Silva in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Plataform's goalie prevented a goal. If Luciano Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Plataform were victorious despite being under pressure from Glycerio for much of the match.
