The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Albertino da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Freitas in the 8th minute of play. Matheus Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino da Silveira having to interfere. Váldson Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Váldson Velloso in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albertino da Silveira saved Malu from getting behind. In the 28th minute Matheus Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Váldson Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Albertino da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Aracas SC booed when Malu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovânio Damião didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute of the match Elias Loureiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Albertino da Silveira skillfully saved the ball. If Ronaldo Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Váldson Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino da Silveira having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

53 minutes into the match, Aracas SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Queirós came free, but Allan Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Ronaldo Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malu's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronaldo Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Váldson Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilton Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Matheus Freitas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Albertino da Silveira. That made the score 0-1 in the 64 minute of play. Elias Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Albertino da Silveira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matheus Freitas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 71 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Freitas in the 76th minute of play forced Malu's goalkeeper Albertino da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Váldson Velloso made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 80thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Albertino da Silveira would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Váldson Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Matheus Freitas fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Albertino da Silveira, passed just outside the right post. In the 95th minute Nilton Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matheus Freitas scored 0-3 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albertino da Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aracas SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
