After a rather tough play, PAIA's Christiano de Lima got a free kick in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raúl Moura in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovanni Pirani saved Emparedado from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Alfredão Munhoz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geovanni Pirani was relentless in the 21st minute of the game.
