Abelardo Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Mário Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Almir de Carvalho in the 6th minute of the match. After 8 minutes Desportiva Guarabira's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Humberto Aguiar who took care of the corner kick. Desportiva Guarabira's Mário Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir de Carvalho in the 11th minute of play. A collision led to Pori getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Silvério Leão hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Gualter Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Peres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 21st minute of the match Abelardo Domingues completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Abelardo Domingues a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 22 played minutes Desportiva Guarabira got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Domingues. In the 27thth minute of the game Luisinho Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desportiva Guarabira's Mário Peres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nelsinho de Amaral in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Miguel de Alcântara, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Miguel de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reginaldo Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Miguel de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Pori's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho de Amaral came free, but Miguel de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Nelsinho de Amaral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Miguel de Alcântara, 1-0. A collision led to Desportiva Guarabira getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Nelsinho de Amaral hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Miguel de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho de Amaral in the 66th minute of play. Róbson Arantes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miguel de Alcântara. Pori's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Pori's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho de Amaral came free, but Miguel de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Róbson Arantes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel de Alcântara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Desportiva Guarabira's Nelsinho de Amaral in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pori's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Pori getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Gualter Pernambucano hit a great ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Nelsinho de Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pori's Miguel de Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Desportiva Guarabira's Mário Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Almir de Carvalho in the 88th minute of play. Mário Peres made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Luisinho Lucas sent off a good shot on target. Nelsinho de Amaral struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Miguel de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desportiva Guarabira. 95 minutes into the game, Albertinho Secco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pori's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Desportiva Guarabira the free kick. The supporters of Desportiva Guarabira booed when Pori was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertinho Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Desportiva Guarabira's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
