The audience was convinced that Pedrinho Britto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artur Bastos was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. With a little luck, Tangua's Artur Bastos got control of the ball when Válter Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedrinho Britto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Tangua's zone, Pedrinho Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Bastos came out of the goal and Pedrinho Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Isaltino Moura kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Tangua getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Pedro Luiz Marinho hit a great ball. Tangua's Elias Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Válter Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Augusto da Silva kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Pedrinho Britto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Bastos. Tangua's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedrinho Britto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Pedrinho Britto might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Bastos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrinho Britto ran back to his position shaking his head. Pedrinho Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Artur Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válter Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iuna's supporters rose to their feet, but Válter Toledo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Bastos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrinho Britto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Bastos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Válter Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pedrinho Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Iuna fully deserved thier win.
