Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Anselmo Moraes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ituano's Miguel Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Anselmo Moraes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Borges. Maragao SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Moraes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Moraes in the 17th minute of play forced Maragao SC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Anselmo Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jorge de Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reynaldo Borges having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, Maragao SC's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Moraes came free, but Reynaldo Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25thth minute of the game Anselmo Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maragao SC's Reynaldo Borges was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Augusto de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Anselmo Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Borges having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Moraes in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Borges saved Maragao SC from getting behind. Ituano's Jorge de Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hugo Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ituano getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Anselmo Moraes hit a great ball. After 40 minutes, Anselmo Moraes made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Maragao SC's Reynaldo Borges tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Maragao SC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Augusto de Toledo hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Tinoco made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Maragao SC's zone, Jorge de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reynaldo Borges came out of the goal and Jorge de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 54 minutes of play, Ituano's Claudinho Arósio made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo Borges was left in no man's land by his defense there! The throw-in from Kiko de Toledo in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Ituano's Vítor Guerra. Ituano's Vítor Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Pontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vítor Guerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reynaldo Borges having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Moraes in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Borges saved Maragao SC from getting behind. The supporters of Ituano booed when Maragao SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Pontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinho Arósio hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Anselmo Moraes scored 0-4 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reynaldo Borges, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Jorge de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ituano's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Borges breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Borges having to interfere. Jerônimo Ortiz scored 1-5 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Recife, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ituano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
