With a little luck, Maragao SC's Reynaldo Borges got control of the ball when Juvenal Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Emerson Terra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 34th minute, Mombaim AD's Emerson Terra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emerson Terra to make the kick off. Maragao SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerônimo Ortiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 97 minutes of play, Maragao SC's Jerônimo Ortiz made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Maragao SC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Mombaim AD from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
