Anselmo Moraes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Juvenal Sena scored 1-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Recife, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Anselmo Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Mombaim AD's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Moraes came free, but Miguel Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Anselmo Moraes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mombaim AD's Miguel Correia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Anselmo Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute, Miguel Pontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anselmo Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Miguel Pontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Correia having to interfere. After 48 minutes of play, Ituano's Anselmo Moraes made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Correia was left in no man's land by his defense there! No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When Ituano's Anselmo Moraes in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mombaim AD's goalie prevented a goal. The Ituano fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Ituano's Anselmo Moraes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Anselmo Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anselmo Moraes went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Mombaim AD's zone, Anselmo Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Correia came out of the goal and Anselmo Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Moraes in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luís Quirino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mombaim AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ituano the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mombaim AD's Sílvio Luís Quirino got a free kick in the 74th minute. Miguel Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Vítor Recife made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Juvenal Sena sent off a good shot on target. Jorge de Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Correia having to interfere. If Jorge de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Ituano fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Ituano's Anselmo Moraes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Claudinho Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ituano had played much better football throughout.
