The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Jurubeba's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Barros came free, but Jeremias da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jurubeba's Jeremias da Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Jurubeba from getting a goal against them. Ronaldinho Barros was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 16th minute. Marilac's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Emílio Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldinho Barros struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Jeremias da Silveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marilac. After having played for 32 minutes, Ronaldinho Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marilac's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldinho Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Jurubeba's Wilian de Souza got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute Ronaldinho Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredão Mello during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jurubeba's Alfredão Mello got a free kick in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Barros in the 37th minute of play forced Jurubeba's goalkeeper Jeremias da Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Brodel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caio Quirino in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Marilac getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Natanael Ceresso hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Ronaldinho Barros made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Murilo Rocha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mané Brodel, 0-2. In the 64th minute Ronaldinho Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias da Silveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caio Quirino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mané Brodel having to make a save. Marilac's Mané Brodel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Marilac from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Marilac's goalkeeper Mané Brodel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caio Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Brodel having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caio Quirino in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mané Brodel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Jurubeba's zone, Emílio Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremias da Silveira came out of the goal and Emílio Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Murilo Rocha got free with Mané Brodel in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marilac's Mané Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Quirino in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Marilac's Fiori Ortiz got a free kick in the 93rd minute. With an all-out effort, Jurubeba's Mané Brodel threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Caio Quirino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Jurubeba supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jurubeba would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
