Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Wilton Cabral got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Taquary's Luís Eduardo Rosa got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute Augusto Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanni Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovanni Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 19 minutes, Betão Cavalcante mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipeguari and the Taquary players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th minute, Betão Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes in the game, Fred Munhoz dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Tião Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. João Pedro Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquary. Taquary's Geovanni Neto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Donato in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Cabral in the 34th minute of play forced Taquary's goalkeeper Geovanni Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Pedro Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Munhoz in the 37th minute of the match. Augusto Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had been going on for 45 minutes, Taquary's Vânderson Santana got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of João Pedro Dias. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fred Munhoz made a kick off. If Wilton Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 54 minutes into the game, Augusto Donato recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Geovanni Neto. Augusto Donato showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Tião Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro Dias having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ipeguari's zone, Tião Sanches stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Pedro Dias came out of the goal and Tião Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 64 played minutes Ipeguari got a freekick which was hit by Wilton Cabral. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Cabral in the 66th minute of play forced Taquary's goalkeeper Geovanni Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Taquary's Fred Munhoz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that João Pedro Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Norberto Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
