Fred Munhoz scored 2-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeremias da Silveira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Wilian de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Jurubeba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilian de Souza couldn't finish the play. After 32 played minutes Taquary got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Santana. Geovanni Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Geovanni Neto was a little too slow when Caio Quirino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 3-2. Murilo Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Neto having to interfere. Fred Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jeremias da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gugu Pontes fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jurubeba's protests and gave Gugu Pontes a yellow card for diving instead. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jurubeba! The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caio Quirino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Taquary's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Munhoz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
