An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Rezende in the 24th minute of play forced Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s goalkeeper Ernesto Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If César Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Rodrigo Rezende took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ernesto Tinoco to make any attempt to save it. Eliézer Rosa scored 1-1 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Didi Meirelles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

In the 88th minute, Alfredo Furtado sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s Ernesto Tinoco didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Paulista in the 91st minute of play forced Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s goalkeeper Ernesto Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
