With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ivo Simão in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conrado Freitas saved Papemal from getting behind. After some careless play in the Papemal defense, Emerson Porto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conrado Freitas. The Papemal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conrado Freitas should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, Geraldo Duarte made a precise shot to the right of Jerônimo Magalhães. Pereiros EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jerônimo Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Duarte in the 24th minute of play. Cléberson Aguiar charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cléberson Aguiar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cléberson Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Conrado Freitas made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Emerson Porto sent off a good shot on target. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivo Simão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Emerson Porto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 played minutes Papemal got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Lima. After 60 played minutes Papemal got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Lima. When Emerson Porto came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Pereiros EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emerson Porto couldn't finish the play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papemal's goalkeeper Conrado Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 82 played minutes Papemal got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Marquez. Ivo Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Papemal's goalkeeper Conrado Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Emerson Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Freitas having to interfere. Although Pereiros EC had been in control for most of the match, Papemal still came away with the win.
