Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gilberto Mineiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Saecinza's goal looked a bit too open when Reginaldo Ribeiro came free, but Delfim de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Paulo José Damião made a precise shot to the right of Ademir Veloso. Maragipinho EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Ademir Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeferson Peixoto, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Paulo José Damiãos short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Ademir Veloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 23rd minute, Cléberson Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Maragipinho EC's goalkeeper Ademir Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo José Damião. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Gilberto Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saecinza's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilberto Mineiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ademir Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Gilberto Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maragipinho EC's protests and gave Gilberto Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Gilberto Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ademir Veloso made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Paulo José Damião sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cléberson Urbano during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Maragipinho EC got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Urbano. Gilberto Mineiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ademir Veloso having to make a save. Cléberson Urbano hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the game, Paulo José Damião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ademir Veloso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 48th minute, Cléberson Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 49 minutes into the match, Teodoro Eger sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ademir Veloso threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Teodoro Eger this time. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natanael Esteves made a kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Reginaldo Ribeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maragipinho EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saecinza the free kick. After 56 played minutes Maragipinho EC got a freekick which was hit by Reginaldo Ribeiro. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Mineiro in the 58th minute of play forced Maragipinho EC's goalkeeper Ademir Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Velasco hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Paulo José Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ademir Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Maragipinho EC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Gilberto Magalhães hit a great ball. The supporters of Saecinza booed when Maragipinho EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo José Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Veloso having to interfere. Gilberto Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ademir Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo José Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd match minute, Maragipinho EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. Teodoro Eger was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
